What is a KiTi-Bat?
A KiTi-Bat is a hand-eye skills trainer: a narrow wooden bat with a rubber ball attached to it by an elastic string. You hit the ball and keep it going on the face of the bat. It gives a player hundreds of repetitions on their own — no bowler, no net, no partner and almost no space.
What ages is it for?
Ages 5 to 80. The KiTi Junior suits the youngest players because the face is wider and the swing shorter. The 45 cm KiTi-Bat has a narrower face and far less margin for error, which suits older juniors and adult players.
What is the difference between the KiTi-Bat and the KiTi Junior?
The KiTi-Bat is 45 cm long and 7 cm wide, made from American poplar, and costs R350. The KiTi Junior is 30 cm long and 11 cm wide, cut from South African pine plywood, and costs R165 each or two for R300.
What are the bats made of?
The KiTi-Bat is made from American poplar. The KiTi Junior is cut from South African pine plywood. Both are cut, shaped, sanded and finished by hand in the workshop.
How much is delivery?
Courier is R50 for bats and is not included in the price. It goes anywhere in South Africa. A Catch-It Trainer costs R100 to R300 to courier depending on your area. You are also welcome to collect in Johannesburg.
How do I order?

Do you offer bulk prices for schools, clubs and academies?
Yes. Bulk rates are on application for coaches, schools, clubs and academies, on both bat sizes and on the Catch-It Trainer. We can put a quote on a letterhead if a school needs one for approval.
What is the Catch-It Trainer?
A hand-strung rebound net that returns a thrown ball at speed, for catching, fielding and reaction work in cricket, netball and tennis. Roughly 900 x 900 mm, the return height adjusts in a moment, and it costs R2 000.
Where are you based?
KiTi-Bat is Nico Botha's workshop in Johannesburg, South Africa. Orders are couriered countrywide, and you are welcome to collect in Johannesburg.
